Rains jumps at the water. Via ESP, he shouts "Voices!!". Quickly, thoughts rush through his head "It looks soft. Voices dagger may be enough to freedom. Problem is too many of the things, it may grab he again... Me here may help divert its attention, but I don't have a way to cut me out.... Damn."
Rains then swims fast behind the blue bird and pushes it towards the creature, so at least some of the tentacles start working on it before they catch him.
"It's eyes... There are eyes close to every mouth, eyes are usually weak spots..."

SPOILERS:All right! I was able to translate the writing in the axeman's room. It's in russian and means "Welcome to our temple". o/

Attempts to guess what's written on the front door have resulted in "Temple of St. Petersburg", "Church of the Savior" and "Temple Spa". The last one is my favorite but it was the result of not considering the fallen letters =P
Hmm... That leads to some interesting questions about the place...

Here are stats for a player race I created, compatible with 3.5 D&D. Please steal.

SPOILERS:Tasty People
+2 Charisma: Tasty People have strong natural pheromones.
-2 Wisdom: Tasty People have a racial predisposition for making bad decisions.
When faced with an encounter involving a predatory creature, a Tasty Person must make a Charisma Check. If the DC (15) is met, the creature will attack the Tasty Person to the exclusion of other targets who are not also Tasty People who have met this DC. The DC should be modified for monsters with a strong sense of smell, I leave this to your discretion as a DM. The monster is not forced to attack the Tasty Person if doing so would cause it to take an attack of opportunity.
A Tasty Person's starting class should be treated as his favored class.

Tasty People speak Common.

Might feels terribly useless without any weapon to fight the lake-monster. She looks for a long pointy stick below the trees which she can use as a spear. Once she has found anything useable as a weapon she'll jump into the lake to help Voices

Can Odds heal me again? I got the feeling I'll need every hitpoint I have, very soon.

Since Smells didn't (Which was probably the smart thing to do as I didn't consider that it would burn him, my bad) Happy will walk down to the secret door's entrance so that if it closes he can open it again.

pointing, slashing, cutting, hitting everything in reach of the thing,
preferably the eyes... or the tentacle holding him.

I guess there is not so much to do for him now except survival.

Rains pushes the bird farther out. It is not grabbed or torn apart.

Might searches for a stick, and fails, as Throw traverses back up to the treetop to the shore. He passes by Bad-Odds, who is praying to the almighty gods for help, who are quite silent.

Voices slashes with his knife and hits the tentacle with his rock. He draws blood, but that's all. He is then eaten whole by the sea monster, taking 1 damage as he lands in the stomach acid. Voices is at 3/5 HP.

Smells goes into the passageway, leaving Happy behind to guard.

That must be the most pointy-stick-less forest I've ever seen! Might jumps into the water, cursing and ready to make some knots into some tentacles. Since she has nothing to cut herself loose she'll try to avoid being caught by swimming real fast.

Voices, try to rescue yourself onto that swimming plank (after grabbing the second knife)maybe there you'll be save from the acid.

Rains continues to approach with the bird body in the front. Maybe if he gets close enough to stab some eyes the beast dies from bleeding to death and Voices can get out... It's a looongshot, but what else can be done?
SPOILERS:Is there air inside the beast's stomach? How many turns of air do we have left?

NO! I am Hears Voices, survivor of New Dawn, slayer of men and birds and soon giant tentacle squids!
Also i am a p*ssed goblin, soon to be on a plank armed with 2 knives and stabbing any in-stomach-tentacles that try to get me of my (relative) safety. If i reach anything else (like the stomach wall) i slash there too, causing inner bleedings and hoping that this thing will die of it.

SPOILERS:(Oh, yeah, and i should be at 3/5, or have i been healed since?)

Maybe you should use an USB-Stick as well, to store your picture files. (or use an online file storage service.)
