I'll take one, in a sec :D ... I post every day except Fridays, on most (if not all) of my games, so I think I can do it :D

EDIT: Wait, Kelten took the last spot, huh... he was the 18th player to sign up.

Ahh well, good luck anyway!

Yeah, sorry guys, 18th player to sign up was Kelten. I didn't number the lines because I wanted to avoid connecting people to numbers at this time.

I'll post the surviving 9 test subjects tonight, best of luck once again!

Turn 0

Image

The nine surviving test subjects are as follows (as per random draws deciding whether they lived or died and which cell numbers they were placed in):

TS-1: Kelvara
TS-4: Madboat
TS-5: Aelthas
TS-7: michael7050
TS-8: m0rtimer
TS-12: LooksandSmiles
TS-13: ArcticTornado
TS-15: vid20
TS-17: PSyochotic

For those of you who didn't make it, you have first priority for replacing a player who leaves. Beyond that, the second "tier" of priority goes to the group consisting of Warlock, Whooh, and RandomMerc, as they missed the signups by mere hours. If you follow the thread, and see me calling for a replacement at the end of any update (it'll be in Spoiler tags and I'll give one turn notice), be the first to type in that you wish to join within 24 hours. The first from the 9 "dead" test subjects will get in. But if none of them post, the first from the second tier to post gets in. If no one from either group posts, it's the first from anyone.

Sorry that you didn't survive the Researcher's mixture, but perhaps your fellow monsters can avenge you!

For the Surviving Test Subjects:

Post here as soon as you can with the following information:

1. Your monster's race (choices are Goblin and Kobold)
2. Your monster's name (Kobolds may not use phrase-names like goblins have, so come up with a fantasy name fit for a kobold. Goblins who choose phrase-names must also include a 'short version' [i.e "Complains of Names" is known as "Complains" by his fellow Goblins])
3. Your monster's color, including the numerical code used to display the color on the forums. You may not use White, Black, or any shade of Gray.
4. Your monster's gender (I'll consider making an artful way to distinguish from girl and boy monsters, but this is primarily for pronoun use in my write-ups)
5. If Kobold, would you like to be in the drawing to be the Rogue?
6. If Goblin, would you like to be in the drawing to be the Teller?

On Turn 0, Kelvara's character (TS-1, whose cell door was mistakenly left unlocked by the Researcher) will be breaking the rule of two acts per turn as he or she grabs the key and unlocks every living goblin's cell. Player-controlled actions will begin on Turn 1.

I would like to start this with an update Sunday night between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM EST (GMT-5), but you technically have until 7:45 PM EST on Monday to post this information, since I understand that deciding on race/name/color/gender may take a bit. If everyone has posted their character information by tomorrow, I'll try to have the update up then.

Good luck breaking out.

1. Goblin
2. Vexing Solution, nickname is Vex
3. Dark Purple #4e0098
4. Female
5. N/A
6. Yes, teller would be nice, as I like being a healbot.

So named by her teller because although she could solve many problems, it was often not worth the headache.

Race: Kobold
Name: IconicScarChest (nickname: Iconic Scarrrgh)
Color: Soul-Stealer Pink (FF00BF)
Gender: Male
Rogue Running: Yes

Short Backstory: Scarrrgh was a regular goblin warrior (most definitely 100% not a teller) in the Resplendant Sky Clan for most of his life. Until he was captured and tortured/experimented on! Now, for some reason, Scarrrgh has a pirate accent. And is a kobold. It's probably from the Researcher's HORRIFYINGLY TERRIBLE experiments! He is also most definitely not a expy of Tig turned into a kobold with a pirate accent.

"Arrrgh!!!!! Let me out, lassie! We'll kill the humans and loot all of their precious gold!"

EDIT 1: man, i just noticed i stole mort's color. damn. rechoosing now.
EDIT 2: and now i just noticed that kelvara stole my back-up choice! curse you kelvara and mort! rechoosing again. (if anyone steals my new color, i will end you.)
EDIT 3: so he's a goblin who turned into a kobold. that's okay right? riiight?
EDIT 4: i promise that this is my last edit. just had to change the race. still said goblin.
EDIT 5: okay, so i lied and edited once more. i just... i just had too.

4 goblins, 0 kobolds so far. No one wants to be lizard-esque? Keep in mind that there ARE stat differences between the two races, and that only a Kobold may be the Rogue.

Hint: You'll probably want to have a rogue. Just sayin'.

Anyway, feel free to edit your character info up until 7:00 PM EST on Sunday. If everyone has posted by then, I'll do an update. If we're still waiting on someone, you have until 7:45 on Monday to finalize your characters.

Don't get me wrong, please play whichever race you want and whichever playstyle you prefer. I was merely pointing out the differences in the races, and hinting that having a Rogue in the party is probably going to be helpful at certain points.

Regardless, this dungeon can be completed without any Kobolds. I expected Goblins to be more prevalent, though, which is why they have the ability to heal. You'd have to play -very- carefully to get through here without a Teller.
