Echo spends the rest of his dream just sippin' tea, then wakes up and stretches out all the kinks. He is now free to go about his business, at full health.

Image

CBM climbs down the mushroom stem and talks to the two gnomes.

"Any chance I can get past guys?"
"Look, a spy! He's probably going to torture us to learn our war plans!"
"Get him!"

Gnomes aren't very friendly.

Image

Lost heads back to the tower, but he's got a ways to go yet. The tower is currently raised and has obviously been that way for some time now. Oh well, it's just up the duct.

The imp is happy to no longer be all alone in the big, cold, empty world. Also he drank all the stray blood.

Image

Dives commands his bunny minion to chew through the chest, but the chest is actually just painted on the wall! There is nothing for the bunny to chew.

However, the LOCK on the chest does appear to be real.

And locked.

Image

Sticks decides to stop doing nothing, no matter HOW invincible it makes him! He grabs his love interest, Dances, poots a web up out of the stoach, and climbs to FREEDOM!!!

Image

Or maybe not.

Image

"Koboldslayer takes all the loot (again) and you continue further into the caves. You find another ladder going back up."

Image

"Alright, is there any way I can convince you to let me past? Perhaps a favor you need doing, since you're stuck here and can't do it yourself?"
"I would never abandon my sacred duty for petty favours! NEVER!

...Although, if you can maybe get me a coffee, I guess I could help you get back to the land of the living? There's no rule against THAT. Technically. It's sort of IMPLIED, I guess, but... man, I'm falling asleep here."

"Cool! Also, what's a human angel doing in the goblin afterlife?"
"I'm not a 'human' angel, this is just what I look like! There are other angels that look like elves or dwarves or whatever but it doesn't mean anything."
"Oh."

Dives puts on the wizard hat and magic-missiles the lock. If that doesn't work, he magic-missiles the bunny and tries to buils a lockpick out of bunny teeth, bones and/or claws.

((Right, I was one turn ahead. I'll try this again, then.))

Echo
Echo gets up, stretches, scratches his posterior and wonders why his hut has been redecorated, and why some thoughtless goblin has forgotten a whip by his bed. He takes the whip and walks outside into the sunshine. Once outside the mousehole, he sees the clocktower.
"Hey, look! No hands! Oh right, I was looking for a hat. I remember."
He goes back up to the room to the left of the clocktower (and through the drawer), if he has time. Should a demon and its imp minion pop out of the grate, Echo will freak out and throw cheese lumps (small) at it, until explanations are had.

Well, it kinda sucks not having a goblin around to kill things, so the CBM will leave the gnomes to their paranoia and double move through the skeleton room to the (dead) spider room. Aww, there's Bleeds. *sniff* :(

"Sounds like a deal. So which way to the coffee machine, then? And how do you like your coffee?"
"I'unno."
"...Great. So we just have to look everywhere I guess."

Image

"Urist quaffs the healing potion and recovers 5 Hp, then attacks the armed kobold and deals some minor damage. The kobold counters and deals 2 damage, leaving Urist at 4. Koboldslayer attempts to fire an arrow into the fray but misses wildly."

Image

CBM and associate return to Bleeds' grave. Not much here anymore except for his old stuff.

Image

Lost returns to the clock tower only to be pelted with tiny pieces of cheese from above.

"Deeeeemon! I shall smite you with the blessed cheese!"

This is EXACTLY the kind of racism and stupidity Lost should've been expecting. Fortunately, cheese does no damage (at this scale).

Image

While Sticks and dances chill out ankle-deep in saliva, Dives attempts to turn a magic missile spell into an impromptu lockpick while his pet bunny watches. It does not work.

"Dang. I guess I'm just going to have to improvise a pick out of available materials. And you know what THAT means, don't you little rabbit?"

Not necessarily the Devil, just a devil. *sage nod*

Anyway, CBM will have his buddy grab Bleeds' lance, and they'll continue towards the Clockroom to bigify themselves. I'm sure Echo will throw a fit about the miniature carrion crawler and skeleton if he hasn't left by then.

The skeleton isn't proficient in any weapons perchance, is he?

Echo
"A likely story! You don't fool me, demon! I will -"
Here, Lost puts on his bandanna. "Lost! What are you doing here? Are you looking for the hat, too?"
Echo is about to make his way towards the left ledge, when suddenly a skeleton and a huge maggot appears from the ceiling hole!
"Why, it's the Honorary Goblin, and that nice fellow from the attic. How do you do on this fine day?" After pleasantries are exchanged, Echo goes left, and stands at the ledge.
"Hmm... I don't see any way to reach the far ledge. And I don't think I want to explore the bottom of this pit without a ladder or rope or something, so I can get back up afterwards. There's no telling what dangers might lurk below." He ponders the opposite ledge.
"I've got it! I have to light the chandelier! If only I had some sort of bow with flaming arrows... hmmm..."
"I've got it! I'll swing over with my whip!"
Echo whips the chandelier, gives the whip a tug, and jumps off the ledge while shouting like that strange fellow who lived in a tree.

((As much as I want to see the room after that ledge, and realizing this action probably would be much more likely to succeed if Echo was wearing the Fedora, the goblin just doesn't remember such things. What can I do?))

As much as Dances was certain there was some magical shape lodged somewhere within the fat beast that would only be coughed up once they solved all the problems, the goblin was quite glad for the chance to escape, and would dive for freedom should Stick's plan work.
