Well, different universe, I think (except for some strange trans-dimensional chatroom type-fornication). I mean, unless there's a bunch of human blokes hidden away somewhere we haven't seen yet.

Wasn't there mention of dimensional travel to "a universe full of hairless apes"? I think it was the scientist who built the time machine in SSDF.

Which does sort of imply that "apes" in this universe don't talk or build technology, but are just like they are in our universe, except there's one more species of them!
