You know...
I never managed to figure out why booze is always labeled XXX in comics and old cartoons...
Does it have something to do with the eighteenth amendment?

I always took it as shorthand.

"I can't put a real beer/liquor name on here because I'll get sued. Besides the label is too small to put anything long on it anyway. Here's three Xs. You know it means booze and I can get back to drawing the rest of this damn thing."

There are two X's on those beer bottles, actually, not three. Those bottles are from an actual brand of beer called Dos Equis.

I've been using Dos Equis bottles since issue one! It's another tip of the hat to one of my favorite horror films, Phantasm. They used Dos Equis bottles for all their beer scenes.

The story goes that Don Coscarelli (the director) wrote to Dos Equis asking for an endorsement to help him make their film. Not only did they endorse it, they gave him a shit-ton of beer as well. Which is why you can see Dos Equis bottles as props in every bar scene...and even in one scene that took place in the garage!

Locus' Barracuda also comes from that film.

So Moondoggie once had an awkward moment just to see what it felt like?

One or two, yeah.

I've got a script in the works for a Spook & Moondoggie story. At this point, I'm not sure if it's going to be a standalone issue or a flashback sequence, but I'm sure you guys will dig it. It's the story on how those two met.

It involves cage fighting. Sort of. :D

I smell some hardcore private action with Spook...

Uhm... Wait... No... I am that weird, but you propably aren't... Unless you made Hampstead make Spook fall in love with Moondoggie and Moondoggie fall in love with Spook and then inject them with extreme hatred against inter-racial homosexual relationships which ended by... HARDCORE PRIVATE ACTION BETWEEN SPOOK AND MOONDOGGIE!
