A Bar At The End... (Wk of 12/20)

Postby SAGG on Mon Dec 20, 2010 1:00 pm

Whoa. Super long title entry there, RC! I shortened it down a tad to fit the thread title, if you don't mind. :D

Hey, Miriam, I hope you washed your feet first before you stick them in John's face! If I were him, I'd be a tad PO'd too... :rootbeer:

P.S.: Um, John's GOT to be gay if he can resist Miriam all over him like that... :rootbeer:
Thanks.

One suspects she might have done a quick sniff test before subjecting John to her feet… either that or she considers any scent emanating from her body to be a natural perfume as apropos to one who sees herself as the embodiment of all that is desirable.

John's not gay… some people just have more self-control than others.

...JOHN! <3

Yes I'm around. Creeping.

[Edit]

LOL, Miriam, I would have the same reaction! But then it also doesn't surprise me. He seems like he would do odd jobs - or was that his main job? Dun dun dun.
What he did not know then is that sometimes an appropriate response to reality is to go insane.

(From the 12/25 comic - Merry Christmas!) A new couch with a roll out bed is needed, it appears. Now that would be a nice Christmas present for John (and Miriam)! Since you like to change the looks of the characters, RC, maybe you need to change the furniture on occasion, too.
Thanks.

(From the 12/29 comic) Just thought about something: Have or will we meet Miriam's boss from the lawyer's bar? Just wondering. :D
Thanks.

Right here. I don't plan on making him a recurring character, but you never know.

Okay, now I remember. Concerning the 12/29 comic, if this wasn't Out There, I'd think Rod was implying that Miriam would make a load more of money by being a prostitute. Of course, that's not what he's saying, right?

Um, right? :nervous: :rootbeer:
Thanks.

He's just pointing out that being attractive creates opportunities. He's not referring to prostitution. At least not in the traditional sense.

(From the 1/1/11 comic - Happy New Year Everyone!) From the looks of it, Miriam and Rod are either riding the bus, or the subway. Now, we know Miriam drives her own car, and Rod's a lawyer who apparently runs his own firm, meaning he should have a very nice car of his own, at least. Why are they doing this, RC? :)
Thanks.

Ever been to San Francisco? New York? London? In any city that has decent public transportation, people don't drive their cars around town all the time, even if they have one. The trains and buses are a more convenient and efficient way of getting around. It's got nothing to do with being able to afford a car.

Also consider that Rod started his evening going to a BAR. He may not have been expecting to be in a condition to drive when he was finished. As for Miriam, she either didn't drive her car to work or left it there when she went out to dinner with Rod.

Why is it that after she already got a boyfriend Sherry decides to start dressing much sluttier?

My guess would be a confidence boost, but... I don't know. It just seems odd to me.

It's more a matter of feeling good about herself, feeling attractive and sexy. You could call it confidence, I suppose. She had pretty much "turned off" that part of herself for awhile, and now that it's "on", it's on with a vengeance.

Somehow I don't think she really listened to James... Although he was telling her to tone down her behaviour I guess :D
