BOOK UPDATE

It's done! I am delivering pages to Keenspot as we speak.

So, barring anything unforseen, the book will be ready in time for the Comic-Con. Actually it should be ready before that if anyone wants to order it online.

I'll probably make up a fancy-schmancy little ad to put on my site with all the details, which I can't do yet because I don't have any details.

Will "The Book" contain footnotes, commentary, historical references, a bibliography, a glossary and other pertinent information for the reader who may experience difficulty comprehending its use of modern language and contemporary mores? Actually, any notes or addenda you may provide may be most helpful and definitely appreciated. Thank you!!

So how did the book turn out? Out There looked good in print in the Keenspot Free Comic Book Day book - I'm looking forward to getting the book when it becomes available from the Keenspot store.

I was pleased with how it turned out. I'm less pleased that it's not available at the Keenspot PayPal store or Keenswag.com yet. I'm not sure what the hold up is. Feel free to bug Keenspot about it, maybe it'll spark some action (actually I just noticed Keenswag.com is down right now, but I'm sure they'll have it up and running before long).

I really want to buy the book, but when i went to checkout through keenswag, I saw the site wasn't secure (I got a warning their certificate expired, and the secure lock icon had a slash through it). I'm not comfortable filling out my info on the web when the site's not visibly secure.

What if I just sent you a check personally?

Unfortunately, you can't send me a check because I'm not the one selling the book, Keenspot is. I've notified them about your concern and we'll see what they say.

Alternatively, you can order it via PayPal, but I'm assuming you already knew that.

The Keenspot folks have informed me that the secure certification has been renewed, and everything "should be ready later this weekend."

RC, I'm trying to buy your book, and every time I get this error message :

Error: The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive

I've already emailed Keenspot, but I thought you might want to ask them yourself why your merchant thingy is inactive. Christmas is a good time to sell lots of books.

Speaking of which, it's really going to suck if I can't get this in time. It's a present for my mother-in-law (-_-);

Just got word that Out There Book 2 will be available in time for the Comic-Con; hope to see some of you there.

Guess what I just bought!

But guess what ELSE I just bought! Well, sort of. I was doing a commission for someone, and instead of money, I asked him if he would buy me the first book, and he did. I'm excited.

When is the second one available to be bought? I thought it was, but I just see the one.

The ball's in Keenspot's court as far as the second book being available. It's been printed, but they haven't made it available for ordering yet. It should be available soon. I'll give it another week or two before I start bugging them about it. I don't like to be too much of a pain in the butt about it since they paid for the printing.

I just found out one of the reasons for the delay is Keenspot is completely revamping its online store. Chris Crosby says it will be ready "soon."
