If parody has a name, it must be... Zortic! ('cause, let's face it, what's Mel Brooks done lately?)

Jun-20 Goth Chick?

Is this some kind of obscure reference? I didn't get it. :-|

Anyway, Zoe should be glad that she didn't told her that she was there to stole Zoe from Zortic.

Considering the planet's fashion and how she's been fashion-conscious, it's looking like the vamp found her first.

Zoe better stay on her guard, or things could really, well, you know.

I understand that mark is implying that, but Zoe had no chance to have an interview with the vampires, so she doesn't suspect that she's biting off more than she can chew, and that Chearl wants to bite the hand that feeds her (or at least transport her) and she wants to have a bite with her.

Warning: Probably a spoiler
Spoiler alert wrote:Mmmh... I wonder if Chearl was the original vampire and she needed the gang to get her to a planet with technology of two centuries ago that won't make that easy to get rid of a vampire clan. That would explain why only "ladies of the night" have been mauled.

That would also explain Chearl "fangshion"

I know that the Crossover Wars kind of broke things up. But don't forget where this storyline started.

In the cantina? Is she secretly a bartender? :shifty:

EDIT: Isn't Mark afraid to change his comics PG Rating by showing a character in the buff?

Is Chearl killing the vampires by shooting them in the stomach? I know stakes must be difficult to digest, but I don't think that would have killed them. Unless they are from the species discovered by Prof. Robert Rodriguez... :smug:

You know, stakes and stones...

And I think Zortic's wanting to sing something like "here she comes to save the daaay"!

Maybe stakes don't kill these vamps, only immobolize them, whether it's the chest or gut.

Or they could have been hasty blows. After all, Zortic's life is at stake.

Perhaps they are from the Sam Cirkail Mamajama, thus they not die by the stake...

I wonder if Zortic is going to buy Chearl dinner, for saving his life, at a stake restaurant.

I've heard they have a most extraordinaire garlic sauce.

So she was a c...err... blood sucker after all!

I think Zortic is a little dissapointed (or perhaps bit-ter :-? ) since he probably heard Chearl that he was going to get laid, not slayed... :-|

But you know us males... We only hear what we want... :smug:

Now I wonder if they will invite Zoe and Splink for a bite, just to show there's no bad blood among them...

I suppose we should have been able to count on a plot twist.

How will "Zorcula" get out of this one? It's a cliffhanger that's enough to drive us bats.

"Zorcula"! I love it!!! Now if I could just market some kind of chocolate breakfast cereal...

And a nod to Atristain who guessed it right in the first place!

What's next? Zooe berry and FranSplink-berry?

zortic wrote:And a nod to Atristain who guessed it right in the first place!

Gee! Wow!

Well I want to thank Mark, the Academy, and the guys at hackercentral that teached me how to get into several Webcomic artists's computers... wait... did I said that out loud?

Anyway, Zortic really looks like he's about to start counting, before he can spring into action! 8) But the way things happens when a vampire counts, it could ruin the surprise, (you know: all that thunder and lightning) perhaps he should knock on wood, and remain silent like a tomb...

The vamp may be inclined to go easy when she thinks she's won, but it looks like Zoe intends to go for the throat.

Does the term Catfight applies to this kind of fight too?

If that's the case, Im surprised that Splink handed Zoe a stake instead of a bucket of mud and a pair of bikinis.

And I don't know if Zoe can keep herself against a Vampire, but she surely will try to turn Chearl into stak... err.. steaks!

Looks like Zoe is not a "fang" of vampires sweet talk.

Zortic should brush his teeth before talking to people. He's driving people away from him.

I wonder how do vampires with such big teeth can talk without a slip. Zortic should sound like Rocky by now. (Stallone not the rodent)

Poor Zorcula.

"Sucks to be you."

Just a thought, he's not changing back, the others are edging off, is he about to be discovered by the cops?

Looks like Zoe's just too worried that instead of a sweetheart, Zorcula will see her as a suckulent morsel.

Completely irreversable? So what are they going to do? Head to the planet with the time machine?

I think that she's more worried that since Zortic was a pain in the neck sometimes, he will be that full time now. :smug:

And this strip shows that sometimes, Zortic sucks at making their friends to agree with him, even when he's telling them there's no bad blood between them.

Oh, and let's not forget they're making as Logan in this strip. :P

Mark: Where does your characters go to train themselves?

They've been running since last wednesday and they had not even break a sweat and none are panting while they're running.

Must be because they are running gags.

Finally! Looks like Zortic has lots to catch up with them.

I wonder if he was turned into a Count Duckula kind of vampire.

BTW Mark: There's a typo on third panel: Splink says "He's gone ahd he's going to catch us eventually."
