I really like the first panel, art-wise. I think the comic looks a lot better with detailed backgrounds, but they usually triple the drawing time for me. :-P
JOSH.

ACH... and before anyone says it, that is *not* Roman in the fourth panel. That's some random female extra who's never been in the strip before, and probably won't be again. :-)
Feh, time for a new artistic style, this one's run out of unique characters...
JOSH.

If I had specified part of my order, and had reason to feel that specification had not been met, I do have a right to complain.
I have no idea how one could distinguish between 1% and 2% milk in coffee, but I'm not a coffee drinker. I do know that I can tell the difference between the two when I have them in a glass or on cereal, however.
All I know is that an order should either be filled to a customer's specifications, or the customer should be told that it could not be filled properly, leaving the one being served the choice of deciding if an alternative will be acceptable.

I meant last friday (oct 26), not tomorrow. If it was tomorrow, all we'd have to do would be to wait.
And don't you mean "haunted"? Yeah, Josh, I'd keep up with the backgrounds. The nice bricks in perspective worked well. Yeah, backgrounds take a little (okay, a lot) more time, but they can really strengthen a strip.
(Of course, it helps to use pens of different width. I myself was afraid of drawing backgrounds regularly for the reason that the characters might get lost in them. But now that I have this nifty really-thin pen I carry around with the rest of my art stuff, I can have the detail and backgrounds stand apart from the characters due to the contrast in the line width.)
But, yeah. I took note of the cool background in the first panel when I first saw the strip.
--David
