Wooooooo Hoooooo!! More Avalon-y goodness!!

BTW, can anyone point me to a strip where Deirdre predicted hellfire, or is that a reference to something she said "offscreen"?

Well, its not literal, but in the last strip she predicted the apocalypse.

I'm doing well enough, obviously -- you knew it was Alison. ;-)

The problem here -- that Alison resembles Joe -- exists because I haven't drawn Joe yet. And because I may not be drawing Joe for a long while, I'm grateful that you pointed out this problem. :-) )

It would appear that news about the break-up has not yet broken out to the general public ... though with Hel

She looks nothing like Alan. That's the important part.

That would be so wrong it would go all the way to right and back to wrong again. :P

Certainly does make a change to see a downbeat Helene, but I suppose either Phoebe doesn't know yet that Helene and Alan are no longer Helene and Alan (ravenb makes a point that perhaps the news has not spread widely) or that's not why Helene is subdued. After all, the journey from said breakup to where the spoiler page said she would be by the fall of the final curtain could have other bumps in it! (It is perhaps for the best that my memories of the spoiler page are something of a tangled mess by now, so there will still be surprises, pleasant or otherwise, between now and the aforementioned final curtain!)

Judging by the age of this thread, the comic appeared about 15 minutes after I turned in for the night. Man, what Josh would be capable of in the daytime!

And it does look as though the world's gone completely bonkers, doesn't it?

Does that no-touching policy extend to hair brushes, Alison?

Doctor Emmit Brown wrote:(I spelled that right right? It's been so long...)

Yes, but 500 years from now it will be spelled Kaylee.

It all looks great, Josh. No one would ever realize from the art that you took a loooong hiatus and extensively explored an anasal drawing style.

And I'm very glad you went with the classic Avalon style. Some horses should not be changed midstream.

  • Mr. and Mrs. Bradley hugging, check.
  • Helene unhappy, check.
  • Fool triggering innuendo unintentionally, check.

Yep. Right on track for raging hellfires. :-)

Phoebe's hair in the 1st panel is an experiment that I accidently saved. I think it kinda works to make the hair look more like hair.

Even more scarier than Downbeat Helene? Upbeat Phoebe.
