Now they compare you to an obese drug addict with greasy hair.
Do you still think them worthy of your art?

I'm typing this from some overpriced Internet terminal in the Calgary airport, as I wait 3 hours or so for my connecting flight to Toronto. Just thought I'd pipe up for a moment.
Ialso noticed the lack of proper strips currently up. :-) There will be two up by tomorrow.
And my time's up.
JOSH.

Well, if there were scanners and image editing software available here, I'm sure it would cost even more. ;-) But yeah, it sucks to be without access to the Internet, since one can't upload the comics they didn't have time to before running off to Alberta.
Oh well, it was nice to be away from the net for a *little* while... let the addiction resume!
JOSH.

Dagnabbit, Ottawa's airport blows. The most depressing way to possibly end a wonderful trip is to land at the Ottawa airport. I can't wait until they finally cut through all that red tape and build a new terminal in 2017 or so.
My luggage may still be in Toronto. Given 10 minutes to get off a plane and board the next, I seem to be faster than baggage handlers. Luckily I carry an irresponsible amount of belongings in my carry-on...
Oh yeah, I may have been hasty when I said the Calgary airport Internet terminals were expensive... I think surfing the web on those costs less than parking at Carleton University.
Speaking of which, I've got school tomorrow. [Tugs at his shirt collar nervously: "eugh ugh egh eugh..."] New term, only four courses this time (instead of five), so hopefully it'll be less stressful.
Good lord, I'm back for only a couple hours and already I'm up late on the Internet. There's no turning back for me... :-)
JOSH.

The United terminal is so huge I've come very close to missing a lot of connections if the scheduled layover is less than 30 minutes. And my luggage almost never makes it.
My last flight was direct from San Diego to Pittsburgh. The gate and flight attendants were very pushy about getting everyone seated for an on-time departure. We push back from the gate right on time, and then -- sit on the tarmac for 40 minutes.
Turns out they didn't have the correct paperwork for the flight. As usual, they weren't specific about it, but it sounds like they were missing the plane's performance chart for the weight we were at. (That's kind of an important thing to have, wouldn't you think? :-)

Oh yeah, I may have been hasty when I said the Calgary airport Internet terminals were expensive...
How much are they up there? Here, they're usually USD 2.50 per 10 minutes, which is quite reasonable. I used them quite often whenever I get stuck in San Francisco.
Unfortunately, though most seem to have telnet capabilities, I have yet to see one that supports ssh.

Actually, Fool only dug one bloody well, and Ucchan is only trying to coax me into some S&M games. Nick Pavlovski has also been wearing a rubber suit. While what they claim to be doing to me in another thread appears to be more of a vivisection, they are not doing a very good job.
Safe trip, author.
It would be a shame if you were to "die" on the way, thereby denying the crazed horde of readers anymore cartoons.

Yes, but there are also small islands in the Phillipines that cost less than parking at Carleton University, as well. And we might as well be parking in the Phillipines for the distance it is from the garage to campus.
It isn't the cost that hurts so much as the way they laugh maniacally when you're signing the contract.
On a more serious note, I thought I'd share a story that proves why Carleton parking is run by evil Trolls from hell.
When you buy the yearly parking pass, you get one of those stickers that you put inside your windshield. If you happen to be using a different car, you go to the parking office and they give you a pass that you can stick on the dash so that you don't have to pay again. However, the office opens at 9:00. I had an 8:30 class one time, parked the car at the very top of the garage, and went to class. At 9:30, I went to get my car, and found a lovely little parking ticket under my wiper. I took it to the office, explained that I had a yearly pass and couldn't get a day permit because my class started before the office opened, and they shrugged and told me I had to pay anyways. When I told them that there was no way I could have got the pass except to skip class, they told me that wasn't their problem. When I said that this was the stupidest thing I'd ever heard of, they told me it was time for me to leave.
Ah, Carleton University. My only consolation is that it's a lot better than the crosstown University of Ottawa.
Charlahack
