Yeah, what he said.

Oh hey, my account still works. That's nice.

Shortpacked! fanart seems to have a higher ratio of porn. Unfortunately, there's a slight problem of quality and subject matter.

And even with a high ratio, it's still well behind in total.

This will be the most eagerly-awaited summer ever :)

As for smut, It's Walky! has overtaken Avalon in the past year or so.
And I think Shortpacked doesn't have the ratio advantage anymore.

Damn, I've been missing out!

Walky's lesbian pic was awesome, but Alan/Joe was just beyond words. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Some may ask, "What were they thinking??!" I think I may have an idea.

I protest this blatant misuse of my awesome thread. ;p

So, to bring it back to its proper course, I'll post another coloring.

I saw one of the "True" ads on the Avalon home page on my way to the forum tonight. (You know, the ones with the huge...tracts of land.)

I'm not sure how appropriate those ads are for most of KeenSpot, but for some odd reason, it seems right at home here. :-)

(BTW, great coloring of Helene...)

[Edit: Used cutesy marketroid "Tru" spelling when I should have used cutsey marketroid underline  ]

And of course, with Josh posting his awesome nude pics lineart, how could I possibly resist coloring them? :)

Suggestion: dividing this endeavour into two categories: Avapr0n and FanSmut. Because, really, the two are *not* the same. (I don't want to see any Avapr0n - just the fansmut!)

Avapr0n, by definition, would be pornagraphic art with features clear sexual imagery, and is usually looked down upon becuase it might be seen by minors (since Avalon is G rated, IIRC).

Fansmut, however, is a bit more innocent, where they're simply naked, with no sexual undertones unless implied by the DOMs of the board.

It's like the difference between Hentai and Ecchi - both can be viewed as "sexy" or "hot", but only Hentai is intended to be sexual.

SUMMARY: It's like the difference between porn and artistic nudity.

SUMMARY OF SUMMARY: Ninjas. Thousands of them.

Ah? I was under the impression that Avapr0n was stuff actually drawn by Josh, and that fansmut referred only to fan-made works...

Aw people, this is a happy happy fun thread, please leave politics out of it.

Anyway, the way I see it "Avapr0n" is all Avalon-related smut, while fansmut is, obviously, fan-made smut.

Sorry Glitter, but there's simply not enough smut alltogether to warrant separate threads... but if anyone wants to make them, who am I to stop them?

For now I'll keep posting any future colorings here, and if someone doesn't like it, well tough. It's all in the fanart gallery anyway, so you can skip any specific pics you don't like.

:O

*Glitter cries in a corner and throws away the fanart she inked for JP last night.

Okay, so Avapr0n and fansmut are BOTH drawn BY FANS. Fansmut is pin-up style art, and the relative innocence of it is "smutty" as opposed to "pornographic". It's cheesecake, basically. Avapr0n got so named because there is just so much fanart in this community that has moved beyond fansmut into the realm of fanporn that it gets it's own name.

Specifically: there are 3 levels here. You have generic fanart. You have fansmut. Then you have fanporn. None of these distinctions apply to the actual artistic merits of the piece.

I have no moral or philosophical problem with fanporn, Avapr0n or otherwise. I simply don't like actual porn. However, I sure love some good fansmut! I don't think I am alone on this one, though possibly in the minority in the Avalon community. I can certainly deal with having both the "smut" and "porn" levels in one thread, but my point was simply that it might be nice to divide them since they *are* different.

Alternatively, I've always been a fan of individual fanart threads and then having the fanart all together over at the fanart gallery: http://packy.dardan.com/walky/avalon or some other location of JP's choosing.

As way of clarification, this is cheese cake, aka fansmut, because she has clothes on. By comparison, the earlier post by Mravac Kid is avapr0n, because it doesn't have clothes on.

The important lesson here is to PLEASE be sure your art is wearing clothes, or else it will get cold in the winter.

Also, it is of vital importance to ALWAYS cite sources when linking to art other than your own, such as that cheesecake above which was drawn by-
