Come on, people! How lazy, unmotivated and unworthy can you be?!?! The strip has been up for minutes!! I'd make the thread myself if I had any idea how to! Discussion Discussion, I need to read the discussion!!!

The comic hasn't been up very long. Give everyone a break.

So, is Alison offering to play matchmaker between Gar and Phil?

lironmiron, I took the liberty to adjust the title with the strip number. Because, you know, this is the thread.

Umm, Alison's shifted focus. Note that she says "Mrs Bradley". She offers to help with Phil's intra-marital problems.

But to be fair, your interpretation was my first one too. I'm so used to refer to the protagonists by first name that I first didn't make the connection Mrs. Bradley -> Sarah and was thinking Alison was still talking about Phil and Gar.

Alison looks honestly concerned in that last panel.

In which case perhaps Alison can deliver the swift kick in the pants necessary to get Mr. Bradley out of his Joesque funk of indecision.

Well, I was at work when it came up ... else I woulda been here like a rat up a drainpipe.

...

Geez, I'd hoped Alison had retired from that business. I mean, Gar asked her to help out, but Phil hasn't. I sort of think Alison should step back from this one. Unless she has no other plans for the evening, I mean.

At least with both (or all three?) parties in Avalon, this time Alison won't be stuck out on the road without a ride home again.

Up a creek without a paddle, maybe, but Alison doesn't seem to be able to leave well enough alone.

Later,

Indeed, and as she knows what trouble Gar went through, she doesn't want mrs. Bradley to have the same. And she might have her hands full.

When I first read this strip (had to go back to the previous one first to have a bit of a recap), the first thing that crossed my mind was "Wait a minute, Alison and PHIL?"

Funny thing. My mind, that is. But then, it would be so ironic if those two ended up having a romance. And kind of fitting, too.

Nah, probably couldn't be further from the truth.

I certainly hope it is far from the truth :) It would put Deirdre under an impossibly huge amount of stress. I think it's not in the future.

Deirdre has a good relationship with her father again, so I would like to see her give Dad a bit of an earbash about why it looks bad for him to go and visit Gar, even if there's not actually any funny business going on.

I think the best advice Alison can give Phil is to tell him to have a chat with Deirdre.

Though that would be good advice indeed, I doubt Alison would think of it. She and Deirdre rarely see each other, so how would she know to have Phil talk to his daughter.

Now, she might suggest that he talk to Phoebe, but I'm not so sure that would work either. They don't seem to be very friendly with each other.

Of course, who knows what goes on off camera...

Oookay. Since I already coloured those before and after this...

If Josh embellished my birthday with a new strip I might as well do it honour and colour this one as well:

It's a sharp job, like the other one, Markus. but I really hope that the walls at Hildegarde's aren't that colour!

Well, it wasn't my decision. It somehow works, though, even if it's a bit dark.

And, hey, Hildegarde might have chosen the colour to match her door at home ;P

(Speaking of which, what's happened to your hosting?)

I ran out of space and had to delete a few things. But it may be back now.
