Fan Art

Postby Eliot Fan on Wed Jan 07, 2004 2:54 pm

Anyone notice the mysterious disapearing fanart in the Packy Gallery and the forums archive? I'm particuarly interested in what happened to some of those Mzacher drawings, but that's because I'm a fan. Mostly I'm concerned about the possibility of there being Deirdre fanart that isn't on my hard drive.

Heck, if Josh is back on hiatus (as Keenspot lists him) maybe we should take up some of the slack within the fanbase itself by exchanging ideas etc. for fanart.

Keenspot never took him off their hiatus list, IIRC.

Disappearing from Packy's Gallery? Now that's a noo one by me. I found Packy's hosting rock solid. Or is there something I'm overlooking?

MZacher's hosting on the other hand, has gone throung some overhauls, so it may well be that some fanart is not accessible anymore.

Speaking of which, everybody aware of this? Yep, Mizu's website is back on line. So even if she and Josh are not on talking terms anymore, we can still enjoy her colourings.

Occasionally the author of the fanart decides that it's not fit to be up and removes it. Or it might be that somebody complained about it to Packy and he then removed it.

So this would result in little 'x' boxes? There's four or five mzacher drawings missing, several in the main gallery and a few more in 'Avalon in the Nude'.

So are there any fansites that Josh doesn't have linked?

Hmm, strange.
That shouldn't happen, AFAIK the pictures should be on Packy's server...

Mzacher's pics have been missing from Packy's since around the time he took his website (and its sizable Avalon fanart section) down. I'm not sure, but perhaps he did this himself, intentionally.

Later...
