I had the same problem at first, and still do to some extent. Once you get more accustomed to where the shadows fall, you'll be more confident.

You are getting very good very quickly, by the way. :-) I like the way you handled that hair shine.

Also, if you're still running on PS3 at home, you might want to try checking out the GIMP. It's free and I'm told it works as well as the newer versions of Photoshop.

Psst! Somebody tell the Kid that K.A.H. wrote said soundtrack.

K.A.H. wrote:(Does she have blue eyes in the canon? I suppose this hearkens again to the question of the characters' eye colours in the canon.... I think only two or three have been answered for certain.)
Alison's are grey. The other two who are certain are Ceilidh (green) and Phoebe (brown/hazel). I think about Joe the jury's still out. Tae has established blue, which would give Joe celtic / pictic lineage too. :)

Same here, and I wrote the cotton pickin' thing.

Oh, about "where" I'm quite confident (remember, my field is projective geometry). It's the "how bold" where I usually fail.

???

She didn't seem to mind too much during our dialogue.

I enjoyed it a fair deal, in fact.

Heh. :)
I didn't make the connection until much, much later :)

BTW, the music fits on one cd, would somebody adjust the covers to include all the songs? It would be nice to have an "original" Souvenirs d'Avalon CD, with the bonus tracks and all.

An old bloke, who had lived all his life in a small town, decided one day that he would go and visit the city for the first time. It was such a momentous occasion that a city newspaper offered to meet all costs and sent out a reporter to interview the old bushie:

Reporter: And what route will you be taking to the city?
Old man: Welll, I think I'll take the missus, I mean she stuck by me through the drought and all.

Not to nitpick, but isn't it Susan Sto Helit?

I've re-reading Hogfather (as it's the season), and that's what here name is in there.

It's both. Officially it is Susan Sto Helit, but she is referred to as Susan Death on occasion (I think Nobby first called her that, in Soul Music). IIRC her parents were given the duchy of Sto Helit by Princess Keli of Sto Lat, because Mort (her father) prematurely ushered the original Duke (who was your standard Alan Rickman-esque rotter) into the next world.

I'll get me coat...

According to my Winamp, it's 1:17, which comes to 77 minutes. Fits just nicely on an 80 minute CD.

Please do it :)

Point taken...
Perhaps we need a DVD?

With interviews of all the cast members, production staff, full-screen, Technicolor(tm) re-enactments of the best comics...

And then, Avalon: The Movie :)

Hm. Thing is, I am/have been in the process of revising three of the pieces (the Fantaisie, Ballade, and Finale) for a while now, and the end results will add a fair few minutes more onto the running time. (In fact, the Rhapsodie is already around 1'15" longer than the MP3 available since I wrote a development to put it in proper sonata allegro form.) Goodness knows whether or not it will fit on a CD after I've finished the revisions. Perhaps some of the pieces could stand to be taken at a slightly brisker speed, but the majority of them are meant to be played slowly, so....

Well, that's another decision for another time. At the moment I'm still focusing on writing two marches for a wedding in a month's time.

No prob. If your timing is just right, the songs can go on a DVD with the entire Avalon archives! :)
That would be cool.

(or you could write a few more songs and then we can make it two full CDs... not that I'm suggesting anything, I'm just sayin'...) :)
