Even though I generally deride netspeak, only one word can sum up my reaction:
OMFG.
I think the strength of my reaction has to do with how out-of-the-blue I found out about Avalon's return. See, I was a regular reader in its heydey, and checked pretty much daily until the "that's it, here's the ending in text" post.
So it came off my webcomic list, and aside from the occaisonal sift through the archives, I accepted Avalon was over.
Lately, I've found myself enjoying webcomic blogs like Websnark. I was checking out a new one, Mr. Myth, and it had a post about how Avalon had been down for awhile, but was now back. "Oh, how quaint," I thought. "A post about back when Josh did a couple of new comics after one of his long pauses."
The I noticed the blogpost was from this year, and I gasped audibly.
Huzzah, Avalon!
