The song's actually called "The Saga Begins", fyi.

And yes, it kicks ass. Al had to go and parody one of my favorite songs EVER.

Heh.

I was driving with my kids the other day, and "American Pie" came on, and my son says, "DAD! that's that Star Wars song you have! They copied it!"

Heh. I was quoting a Simpsons ep. I've not seen G&D, nor am I likely to soon. :)

Sigh. See? I can't help it! My muse is a cruel mistress!

The best writing teacher I ever had said, "If you want to be truly great, you have to respect your muse. and she WILL demand a sacrifice. Your serenity, your sobriety, your sanity or your social life. Sometimes more than one. You don't get to pick. If you are not willing to make the sacrifice, she will ignore you."

I have found this to be very true.

I don't have any show-bidness experience myself, but I have a friend who does (large image, so I linked instead of posting:)

Oh, by the way, I'm the one on the left.

Me too. In my case it's been my sobriety AND my sanity. On the other hand, I've been able to hang out with some neat people - and orangutans.

Never, EVER pass up A) free food, and B) free beer.

Funny you should mention that. Katy, the orangutan in the picture I linked to (she's the one on the right) is Clyde's neice. (His name really is Clyde.)

The fellow who trained Clyde is a friend of mine. He has several orangutans of various ages. Katy's the sweetheart of the group. Orangs in general are pretty quiet and gentle, but Katy's adorable.

I get a real kick out of it when she begs for bananas. Some of their gestures are so human, it's uncanny.

Jeez, I wouldn't be able to stand that. I love listening to a wide variety of music. With only The Beatles and anime themes, how do you stay sane?

Oh wait... :P

I'm fairly certain it means that Ceilidh has joined the ranks of the initiates into EXTREEEM cuddling.

That'd have to be a LOT less than five bucks then. I like Miller Draft but Budweiser is love-in-a-canoe beer.

Budweiser is like having sex in a canoe - they're both f*cking close to water.
