[Fanart] Pastels...

While I'm pretty sure displaying this to a Web Community that's being exposed to 'Art of Tae's Quality(tm)' on a (almost) Daily basis is just going to embarass me, I've never let that stop me before. :)

Image

Essentially, it's a colouring experiment, and I 'm attempting to duplicate a colour style I've seen recently.
The new Brushes in Photoshop 7.0 are pretty neat, too.

...And to the Hecklers(you know who you are): See, I am working. Just not very well.

Woohoo! You're doing fanart again! Very nice pic--soft feel and everything. Even if it's a soft feel with hockey, of all sports. ;)

Not sure if this is part of the overall style of the pic (I know some artists actually simplify the human form this particular way on purpose) but the shape of the feet/shoes seems a little odd. They're somewhat shortened, and the left one doesn't seem to sit firmly on the ground. I think it may be the heel. Or just me.

But Painter is the Greatest of all Graphics Programs! If only it were not cursed to bring bankruptcy or buy-out to all who possess it. This is Off-topic isn't it?

I love the backgound. Very Pooh-ish.

So pretty... I love those trees. And Ceilidh's body language.

She seems kinda youngish, but her breasts are bigger. Did she stuff?

I think it's a great image. Beeing totally unable to draw makes me apreciate the art of others more. Great job mzacher!

Mzacher, quality, not quantity.

Excellent work.

If you're coming to MANIFEST, can you bring an autographed print?

Embarrass?? You've got to be joking!! I think I speak for nearly everyone who posts or has ever posted to this forum when I say your art is welcome any day of the year, and today/yesterday/whenever this was posted (it's after midnight here) is no exception!! :)

Glorious work as ever, especially the colours. Agreed on the suggested caption as well. And if the uniform doesn't get his attention, well, a hefty wallop with the Blunt Instrument of Death so favoured by people who spend a few hours on ice under the pretext of a sport based on who can get a short cylinder into the back of the opponent's net more often but really for the purpose of removing the other players' teeth and opening a few blood vessels here and there should do the trick nicely! :P

Where was I? Oh yeah, my parents' house in south Buckinghamshire. Anyway, brilliant job, as ever, no need to worry about being overshadowed by the artwork on the front page (though I'm torn as to whose style I prefer - always have been!)

You might as well ask me whether I prefer Chopin or early Debussy.

mzacher, that picture is seriously making me reconsider the Phoebe-lust inspired by Phoebe in that red dress at the webcomics awards...

Sigh. Cute Ceilidh...

I just love the background, and the softness that the pastels bring it - though at the same time, the colors don't look 'washed out' or faded. They're just softer, and set off the Ceilidh that much better. And DAMN, is she kawaii...

Lovely work you've got there. :D Very, very cute hockey player there, and the whole scene seems quite idyllic.

Why reconsider? The two aren't mutually exclusive after all.

By the time I'm Strom Thurmond's age, I sincerely hope I'm dead.

Hoping alone won't do it. There have been people hoping that Strom would just drop dead for at least 50 years now, and he's still going.

Besides, at the accelerating rate that med-tech has been advancing for the last 50 years, chances are even that by the time you reach Strom Thurman's current age, you'll look and feel at least as vital, fit, and aware as you do right now.

And the girls that will be half your age then won't even be born for another sixteen years from now, which makes them even less real than the cartoon sirens who currently bewitch you--so lighten up, dood.

I actually like it, so saying what I was going to say would be absolutely pointless.

Well, we could say that the Ceilidh in the picture is holding a fork for poking Joe.

A pointless fork!

Somehow, Fool manages to surprise me again.
*hands Fool a longer snorkel, so he can sink to new depths*

However, it is a great pic Mzacher, and I join the list of people in awe of your artistic skills. :)

Am I the only one that thinks Ceilidh is just overall cuter than Pheobe?
