i'm afraid that your post there isn't exactly the best sort of advertisement for your writing skills. oo; a spellchecker might be a good start.

1st, mad man is my real keenforums name 8)

2nd, i had those spelling errors becaus i have a form of autism called Asperger's, so i have a medical reason to be a bad speller.

note: asperges is not a handicap, I'm just different infact they think enstine had Asperger's Syndrome. If anything that is a praise to my creative tallents.

if u want to know more about asperger's #%^$ING GOOGLE IT!!! :)

My son has Aspergers and it really has nothing to do with your ability to spell. If you can't spell, it's because you can't spell.

However, my son writes some damn brilliant stories, so it also doesn't affect that either.

I'm also gonna call you on the Asperger thing. My little sister has it and her spelling and grammer are better than mine (though that's not a terriably hard thing to do). She got some problems socializing and picking up nonverbal signals, but her spelling and grammer are spot one.
Could be worse; could be raining.

i'm dyslexic, but i hide it with spellcheckers and just constantly teaching myself new words. my lack of talent with the shift key is pure laziness. :p

so don't use a disability as an excuse, it's up to you to overcome it. ^^

Ok hang on. You really have aspergers and you really can't spell. So... what's the joke? The part where you were asking for an artist to help you?

Hilarious.

Let me try a joke too...

I'm looking for someone to help me with some writing tips for my webcomic. Also, I have various forms of autism. Get it? It's a joke post. Later, I'm going to ask someone on my street for directions and tell him that I'm lost because I have cancer. Brilliant!

The truth of the matter is that I don't think this was intended as a joke thread at all. If the bad spelling is real and the aspergers is real, then simply asking for someone to help start up a webcomic is not anything even close to a joke thread.

Well, one aspect of Aspergers posters I've noticed is that what makes perfect sense to them can be annoying or abrasive to others, and while they may realize it after the fact, they still can't anticipate and/or stop themselves from continuing to be annoying or abrasive...

I dunno.
In order to clearly see what is in the shadows, you must first enter them.

In case madman's last post isn't part of the 'joke' as well, the 'joke' is that he can spell better than he did in the first message and that he has a more 'realistic' aspergers than what he claimed in the second message.

I have OCD and asburgers. I can't spell or type for the life of me, but when it comes to story telling, I AM THE MASTER!!!

the fact of the matter is that spelling and story telling are differnt. being unable to spell dose not mean that you are a bad story teller anymore than being a good speller means you are a good storyteller. and as long as he takes the time to make sure everything in his comic is spelt correctly with a dictionary or spellchack program before butting up his comic for all to see, spelling won't impede his storytelling ability.

but be carful with those spellcheackers... sometimes they make mistakes.
forgive my atrioucious spelling.

reads: goblins, bruno the bandit, antihero for hire, darken, banished!, elf only inn, comic i refuse to mention as part of a protest of the belittleing and demeaning use of the word God.

David, when they sat me down and explained to me that my son had a form of autism called aspergers, I wish you'd been there. Then you could have explained to those pesky doctors about how you "don't believe them for a second" and everything would have been all better. And if you were around during the times that my son was having difficulties (that I won't go into detail about here) then you could have used your special, sarcastic wisdom to explain to him that he didn't have it.

Well I mean, at least she can sleep on her back without swallowing her own tongue, so she's got that advantage over about 70% of the posters here.

Asperger's is actually the best kind of handicap: one that often keeps a person with it from being able to comprehend why it could possibly be a handicap!
