Bobby, you CLEARLY implied that you were referring to Howard's wife in your response. Are you trying to say that your rebuttal was entirely seperate from the post you quoted? Why would you quote the post unless you were responding directly to it? Case in point:

First of all, she didn't do it in public, so she can say whatever she wants to her husband, and he is free to repeat it to whomever he wants. Second, you don't even KNOW if she said it or not, because you're working off THIRD PARTY information.

Later you once again talk about how I was working off of THIRD PARTY INFORMATION, and that's the WHOLE ISSUE of your confusion here, because you don't seem to understand that I KNOW I WAS WORKING OFF OF THIRD PARTY INFORMATION, which is why I said it would only "MAKE SENSE" if an asshole married an asshole. Because IF what was said about her was true, then that makes her another person who lies about me, like YOU are, and like you CAN'T STOP DOING. I recall that you yourself introduced Carson's past grievances as a tangental issue that represented a counter to his portrayal of bullies as bullies. Essentially bringing up someone else's activity as if it excused your own, when it doesn't even involve charges against you. At the very least, it is an excellent distraction, but it is also slothful and fallacious. It's classic tu quoque.

And it is only after that you -- you -- make the first tu quoque, and engaged in the first dragging up of old news, that you now are attacking the same fallacy when it is recycled back at you by Carson. As a bonus, you are being tactlessly vituperative.

I didn't keep a copy, I simply Googled the Ding archives, and it was still there.

A reader alerted me some time ago, of course, but I didn't make a big deal about for the same reason I've defended you here at Keenspot for the past five years: I put my faith in your intentions.

I just assumed it was a momentary lapse. Maybe you were pressed for a deadline or something. Since then, however, I've learned that you've done this before, even "borrowing" material from Ben Edlund's comics. So even in that case, I may have been wrong about giving you the benefit of the doubt. This may actually be a habitual ethical lapse on your part.

And as for defending you at Keenspot, I'm starting to feel like a big sucker there, too. I've disappointed Chris Crosby many times by trying to explain away what seemed to be attacks on Keenspot generally and him personally as your honest concern for the welfare of the individual cartoonists.

My financial problems and missteps, unlike your tracing my art, has no bearing on you whatsoever, yet you have swooped in and attacked me over it for... why, again? Because you thought I was lumping you in with Tycho in my complaint that webcartoonists like to attack each other and delight in each other's misery?

I decided I wouldn't post more in this thread sometime yesterday, but I'd be a huge hypocrite if I knock Howard for standing by humming while people knock Keenspot, and let this go.

This is despicable. Howard and his wife don't deserve this. You owe both of them an apology.
