Is Keen looking for new comics???

Postby TheDeeMan on Wed Jul 11, 2012 12:01 pm

Chris,

I had no idea that Keen was back.

Are you guys actively looking for new comics? If so, please check out "The Continentals" we would be interested in being a part of the "new" Keen.

THE CONTINENTALS. It's like Sherlock Holmes meets the 60's tv show "The Avengers" with a dash of James Bond for flavor.

Back? It hasn't gone anywhere. If you want to make a pitch to the keenspot owners, the contact information is on the front page of http://www.keenspot.com at the bottom, but I can't promise anything, I only evaluate if something can be hosted from the technical perspective (eg will it work in autokeen, can the existing CMS run on the server, how much manual effort is required to import it.)

There is some confusion as to why comics join or leave Keenspot, as most of the stuff that has been added in the last two years are are comics that were actually in print and want an online (or an additional) presence. For them it opens an additional reader base that they didn't already have, which in turn may lead to more sales of the print comic.

Keenspot goes to San Diego every year too:

"The Guide" for ComicGenesis comics
Comic Genesis , free webcomic hosting.
*tag* you're IT!

Aah. Well that explains alot. I'll still cross my fingers on the whole "getting spotted" thing. I think The Continentals would be a good fit. :)

Plus we're a print comic as well:

The Continentals on Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1105772128

So as you mention getting additional readers and more comic sales would be nice as well. Besides, we've just got to get off of Webcomics Nation. It's just shit. LOL!
